Seller rules

These rules keep Christian Store India a place customers trust. Every seller agrees to them when applying, together with the seller agreement in the seller portal. We may update them; we tell sellers by email before a change starts.

Last updated: November 2026

1. Who can sell

  • Shops, bookstalls, publishers, authors, church bookstalls and makers of Christian products in India.
  • You need a mobile number, email, pickup address in India, a bank account or UPI ID in your (business) name, and a GSTIN — or your PAN if you sell only GST-exempt printed books and Bibles.
  • Every application is checked by us. We may ask for documents, and we may refuse or close an account.
  • One account per seller. Your login is personal: keep your password safe and turn on 2-step login.

2. What you may sell

  • Bibles, Christian books and other products in the categories open for your account. Books & Bibles are open to all sellers; other categories open after we check your GST and products.
  • Only genuine products. No photocopied, pirated, counterfeit or fake products. You are fully responsible if a product is not genuine.
  • Not allowed: illegal items, content that attacks any faith or community, offensive or adult content, weapons, medicines or anything that needs a licence you do not have, and items that break copyright or trademark rights.

3. Listings

  • Title, author / brand, language, edition, photos and description must be true and match the product you send.
  • Choose the right condition: New, Pre-owned (unused) or Used, and describe marks, names written inside, missing pages or damage honestly.
  • Photos: clear, real photos of the product, no watermarks, no phone numbers, links or other shop names.
  • Price and MRP must be honest. The MRP must not be raised to show a bigger discount. Keep stock up to date so customers do not order what you do not have.
  • No phone numbers, emails, links or "contact me" text in any listing.
  • We may edit, hide or remove a listing that breaks these rules.

4. Orders, dispatch and packing

  • Confirm every new order in the portal and ship it within the dispatch time you chose (shown to customers). The portal reminds you every day until it is shipped.
  • Print the shipping label from the portal, pack safely (Bibles and books: bubble wrap or a strong box, waterproof cover) and add the tracking number.
  • If you cancel an order (no stock, wrong price), you pay the payment fee of that order.
  • Late orders: an order more than 7 days late may be cancelled by us, and you pay the commission and the payment fee of that order.
  • Frequent cancellations or late shipping lower your seller score; your products may show lower and your account may be paused.

5. Customers and their details

  • Customer names, phone numbers and addresses are given only to deliver the order. Never use them for your own marketing, never share or sell them, and delete them when the order is finished.
  • Do not contact customers outside the order, and never ask them to buy from you directly.
  • Answer customer questions sent through the portal politely and quickly.

6. Returns, exchanges and damage

  • If a product arrives damaged, wrong, not as described or not genuine, we arrange a replacement, exchange or refund for the customer.
  • When it is the seller's mistake, the cost (return delivery, return-to-origin (RTO), replacement delivery) is taken from your balance.
  • When the customer changed their mind and the return policy allows it, the returned item comes back to you and goes back into stock.

7. Fees and payments

  • No listing fee. For each sale we keep a commission (shown in your portal before you list) and a payment fee that covers online payment charges. The delivery charge of the order is added to your amount.
  • Your amount moves to your balance after the customer confirms delivery. We pay your balance to your bank or UPI and email you the reference (UTR). Statements are always in your portal.
  • Charges (late or seller cancellations, RTO, damage, FBC storage) are taken from your balance. If your balance is negative, it is taken from your next earnings.
  • Taxes (GST, TCS, TDS) are handled as the law requires and shown in your statements. You are responsible for your own GST and income-tax filings.

8. Reviews and seller score

  • Customers may rate their order. Never write, buy or ask for fake reviews, and never offer gifts in return for good reviews.
  • Your seller score comes from on-time shipping, cancellations and ratings. A good score helps your products show first.

9. Fulfilment by Christian Store India (FBC)

  • When FBC is on for your account, you can send stock to our warehouse. Stock is received and counted by us; what we count is what the portal shows.
  • FBC stock stays yours until it is sold. A monthly storage charge (by the space it uses) is taken from your balance.
  • Stock that does not sell may be sent back to you at your cost after we tell you.

10. Deals and offers

  • You may offer deals (discount codes, quantity offers) from the portal. We check them before they go live. The discount you offer is taken from your amount.

11. Pausing, suspension and closing

  • You can pause your shop with holiday mode, or stop listing at any time. Orders already received must still be shipped.
  • We may pause or close an account for fake or pirated products, misuse of customer details, fake reviews, repeated late or cancelled orders, or any action that harms customers or the store. Money for orders that were delivered properly is still paid, after any charges.

12. Questions and complaints

  • Sellers: message us on WhatsApp from the seller portal, or email us.
  • Customers can reach our grievance officer — the details are on our contact and policy pages and in the seller portal.
